Our company offers mail-in repairs within the continental U.S.,and if your in the NYC Metro area, we offer a Pick & Return Delivery service.
Here are instructions for packing and shipping your EQUIPMENT to us safely:
PLEASE REMOVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Any item that can come off easily
- If the item is not easily removable, please tape it down, just in case.
- Any screws or similar parts and accessories that you have removed, put them in a zip lock bag or similar to ensure they are not lost when the item(s) is removed from it's box. Tape this bag to the unit, or put in a large envelope, and place it underneath your turntable.
PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR POWER CABLE!
- Many times the unit will be fine, and we'll find that the power supply is faulty. So, send this along to ensure we can fully test everything.
PACKING:
- If you have the original product box, please pack your unit inside, and then place that box in another slightly bigger box.
- If you do not have the original box, try and wrap your unit with bubble wrap, newspaper, garbage bag, or anything that will protect it from scratches and such during shipping.
- Fill the box with enough bubble wrap, packing peanuts, newspaper, or similar cushioning material to absorb any shock which will occur during shipping.
DO NOT OVER PACK!
This can cause problems also, because the actual packing can damage your unit if it is packed in too tight. Use your judgment or take to a professional packaging center such as Mail Boxes Etc/The UPS Store and they will package it (for a fee).
- When you ship your item, please make sure you take out SHIPMENT INSURANCE for the FULL value of your unit. If you paid $500 for your equipment 20 years ago, that is how much you should take out. This is so that you are fully protected in the event an equal replacement cannot be located, you can purchase a suitable replacement of your choice. We will do the same when we return ship.
- Please ask for TRACKING SUPPORT from your preferred shipping carrier for your package, so that you have proof of it's delivery to our location.
- Include a copy of the Service Estimate we emailed you, into your box, so that we can keep track of your service request when it arrives.
